When Problems Seem Insurmountable

You will face hurdles - if not today then tomorrow.  There will be problems, people and circumstances that get in the way of you accomplishing your dreams. Be careful if you find yourself most often viewing those as insurmountable and reasons to bail out early. Great thinkers and leaders have learned the discipline of powering through obstacles. Or, they have the wisdom to step back to get a better perspective and find answers. They seek out counsel. Find someone doing something similar and doing it well and asking them for advice. If it’s a relationship, they have the patience to give it a little air to see if things resolve by themselves. They also know when they should legitimately walk away. Jumping ship early, blaming others, giving up when it's tough, that’s the easy way out and rarely leads to long-term growth. Hurdles may not be a reason to quit – they may be a catalyst to make something better and maybe even great.
